If you are frequent purveyor of our blog, you may know that we're HUGE fans of Cinemassacre - home of the brilliant web series, The Angry Video Game Nerd. The AVGN reviews the Nintendo Power Glove, the first time he reviews something other than just a game. Helping in Rolfe's ideas eventually turned into guest appearances as game-related characters, but because he doesn't consider himself an actor, Mike greatly prides himself on his artistic and technical contributions.

In a survey published by Mediscape, a number of people admitted to being inspired by the Nerd to create and submit their own content in various online spaces, including YouTube, DeviantArt, SourceForge, GameFAQs and ScrewAttack. Mike: I've never been big on stealth games.

The AVGN reviews Rambo (NES), Rambo: First Blood Part II (SMS), and Rambo III (SMS) The Nerd uses the last few minutes of the review to address the title of the latest Rambo movie, adding to points made in his Chronologically Confused about Movie Titles video.

The feud culminated when the Nerd and the Nostalgia Critic crossed paths in person in a video game store in Clifton, New Jersey called Digital Press. The show would later encompass reviews of gaming consoles, peripherals, and short lectures about video game history and culture.

It all starts with Mike and Gadget furthering their plans to take over Cinemassacre completely in James's absence as they turn to the audience and greet us. Mike politely introduces the audience to a well-animated Inspector Gadget that puts the original outsourced DiC cartoon to shame.

These guests often provide additional commentary on the games, mock the Nerd's anguish, and act as parodies of the characters from which they had been derived. James Rolfe, being the movie fan that he is used practical effects for pretty much the whole movie and only seems to turn to CG when it is really needed.

The Angry Video Game Nerd show has a cult following, and made James Rolfe one of the most popular internet celebrities before the advent of YouTube. Mike mega man 2 was my first favourite game. The video covers a number of games including Streets of Rage 2 and X-Men.

So, we were in a position where there wasn't going to be any new web-videos from James on the website for roughly half a year. In the course of the interview, our guest discussed many key points he's made in past videos, what has inspired him to create Zelda content on Cinemassacre, and why he enjoys the series so much.

You should consider doing a review on Nintendo Land, Mike. While being a fan of the first two Double Dragon games, Double Dragon 3 is the one that the Nerd despises.

Matei most notably works on Rolfe's famous Internet series The Angry Video Game Nerd , for which he co-writes, plays a variety of characters ( Jason Voorhees , The Cowardly Lion , The Joker , Leatherface , Bugs Bunny , a Klingon , Michael Myers , etc.), and illustrated the title cards for episodes 5-100 as well as 139.
